Cipher Four: Watch Puzzle is a Wear OS logic game published by aminhanifm. It works entirely offline and does not require a developer-operated account. The game does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal information, gameplay data, or device data. Information needed for settings, saved games, Daily Cipher progress, and statistics is stored only in the app's private storage on the user's watch.
Information stored on the device
Cipher Four may store the following information locally on the watch:
- preferences such as haptic feedback, default difficulty, confirmation prompts, and high-contrast mode;
- tutorial completion and other interface settings;
- aggregate gameplay statistics, including games played and solved, attempts, solve times, difficulty records, Win Streak results, and Practice results;
- Daily Cipher completion history and current and longest Daily streaks; and
- unfinished Quick Code and Win Streak sessions, including the hidden code, current guess, guess history, feedback, attempts, and accumulated active play time.
This information is stored with Android DataStore in the game's private app storage. It is used only to provide gameplay, restore unfinished sessions, remember settings, and display statistics on that watch. It is not associated with a developer account or sent to the developer.
Information collection and sharing
Cipher Four does not operate a developer-controlled server and does not collect or share personal information, gameplay data, diagnostics, crash reports, location data, device identifiers, or advertising identifiers. Nothing stored by the game is transmitted to the developer or another company.
Network access and third-party services
Cipher Four does not request the Android Internet permission and does not make network connections. It contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, crash-reporting, social-login, cloud-sync, remote-configuration, or online leaderboard SDK. Daily Cipher puzzles are generated locally from the watch's calendar date. The game has no phone companion and does not transfer gameplay data to another device.
Android permissions and device access
Cipher Four requests no runtime permission and no access to personal or sensitive information. It does not access location, contacts, files, photos, microphone, camera, notifications, nearby devices, health data, advertising identifiers, or accessibility services. The game uses standard Wear OS display, touch, and optional haptic capabilities only to provide gameplay.
Google Play purchase and distribution
Cipher Four contains no in-app purchases or subscriptions and does not integrate the Google Play Billing library. If Cipher Four is offered as a paid download, Google Play processes the purchase, download, licensing, refund, and related platform activity under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Cipher Four does not receive or store payment-card or payment-account details.
Google may provide the developer with sales, order, financial, and device compatibility reports through Google Play Console for distribution, support, refunds, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes. These records are created and controlled by Google Play, not collected or transmitted by the Cipher Four app. Google's handling of this information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Android backup and device transfer
Android cloud backup and device-transfer extraction are disabled for Cipher Four. Locally stored settings, saved games, Daily history, and statistics are not intentionally copied to a cloud backup or transferred to another device by the game.
Data retention and deletion
Local data remains in private app storage while Cipher Four is installed. The in-game Reset statistics action clears gameplay statistics, records, and Daily history while preserving unrelated settings and saved games. The separate Reset saved games action removes unfinished Quick Code and Win Streak sessions.
To delete all Cipher Four data, clear the app's storage in Android settings or uninstall the game. Because Cipher Four has no developer-operated account or server, there is no remote player profile or gameplay database to delete. Google retains and deletes Play purchase records according to its own policies, account controls, and legal obligations.
Security
Cipher Four uses Android app-private storage for its local data. The game has no Internet permission, so it cannot transmit that data over the internet. No storage method can guarantee absolute security; users should protect their watch and Google account with the security controls available on their devices and keep Wear OS up to date.
Children's privacy
Cipher Four is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13 or the applicable minimum digital-consent age in their country. This policy describes the Cipher Four app. Separately, the website hosting this page may measure page visits and navigation through Google Analytics without analytics cookies when site analytics is enabled. Analytics storage remains denied, and the website does not send policy contact addresses, link text, or page content as analytics event data. The opt-out link in the footer disables those measurements in this browser. Google may process technical connection information under its privacy policy.
Changes to this policy
If Cipher Four's data practices change, this policy and its effective date will be updated at this same public URL before a version with materially different practices is distributed.
